A ANALISIS PENYEBAB KETERLAMBATAN PROSES BONGKAR MUATAN PUPUK UREA DI MV. GOLDEN ACE

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the factors causing delays in the unloading of urea fertilizer on the MV Golden Ace and propose solutions. The study was conducted at Soekarno-Hatta Port, Makassar, from July 18, 2023, to August 1, 2024, using qualitative methods with observation, interviews, and documentation as data collection techniques. The results indicate that delays were caused by external factors, namely delays in transport trucks (waiting trucks) due to lack of coordination from the port authorities, damage to loading and unloading equipment at the port, such as the Harbor Mobile Crane (HMC), and rainy weather, which also hampered the process due to the hygroscopic nature of urea fertilizer. Internal factors included damage to ship cranes and grabs due to unprofessional operation. Internal factors, such as damage to loading and unloading equipment on the ship, also hampered the process by hampering the unloading of urea fertilizer at Soekarno-Hatta Port, Makassar.
